Hello, here we have today a terrific stoneware advertising brewery pilsner stein that is impressed and cobalt blue accented offered for sale. This glass displays a great detail in the design and is an advertisement of "HABERLE'S LAGER". The measurements are 7" high by 3" at the bottom and 3 1/2" at the top rim. This piece is in excellent condition - no cracks- chips or repairs. A great cross collectible piece of Syracuse history, as well as a super piece of stoneware. Complete your set as this piece was sold with a second Stoneware advertising pilsner glass with Impressed and blue accented, "Crystal Springs". I believe this to be a WHITES of Utica Salt glaze stoneware piece. Salt glaze has a grayish white surface with a texture like an orange peel. It is a method of decoration that has been used since the eighteenth century. Haberle Brewery, which was established in 1855, purchased three of the smaller breweries of Syracuse ( Kearney's , Crystal Spring , and National ) and soon became one of the larger and better known Syracuse breweries. The longest Syracuse survivor was Haberle, established in 1855 and sold to Rochester's Standard Brewing in 1962.I'm selling off remnants of a Breweriana collection (Heavily Syracuse N.Y.). Keep an eye on my up coming auctions ! As far as shipping goes I am easy (to work with), if you have a better way or rate let me know, I will work with you. These items are "sold as is", USED and are described to the best of my abilities. Unfortunately I do have to charge New York State buyers a New York sales tax of 8%. As always feel free to ask about local pick ups. Thanks again, for looking!
