Beautiful vintage weighted weighing machine manufacturerd by W.T.Avery Ltd Birmingham, who manufacturered for over 200 years. There is an Avery Museum there showing 6000 years of weighing since the Egyptians.Capacity 5lbs, Close-up 2nd picture shows manufactuers stamp on brass and the ratios either side i.e. 100-1 and 10-1Weighing is fully functional but it's just a beautiful piece of equipment that is a piece of history.W T Avery were taken over in 1979 by General Electric Corp to become GEC-Avery. Then the company became Avery Berkel in 1992 then taken over by Weigh-Tronix in 2000 the company was again renamed to be called Avery Weigh-Tronix and is based in Smethwick, West Midlands. UK.
