JAS Tabla set in Excellent condition with black ring bases. Includes two pairs of protective drum covers (red and black), soft black carrying bag with zip fastening, tuning hammer and tutor booksI purchased them new from JAS in Southall, London for about £130 a few years ago. They are made in their factory in India.Low usage. Skins kept dry with Talcum. Tabla drum is made from hardwood and the Bayan is made from metal. Both drums use animal skins. Approximate weight of Tabla (without base) : 4273 grams Approximate diameters of both drums from edges of skins: Tabla: 140mm Bayan: 240mm Tabla has a beautiful resonant tone and is C# tuning. Both skins will require re-tuning before use as skin tensioning has been relaxed to prevent damage. I had some lessons and the Tutor commented that the instrument was well made.I have some beginners rhythm exercises in my tutor book (Tin Taal etc) if you are interested. I can also recommend a Tutor based in Gloucetershire.Tabla is very difficult to play for an Englishmen like me so learning Guitar instead. Buyer MUST collect. Payment by PayPal or CASH on collection.
