Up for bid is a pair of TAD TD-4001 High Frequency Drivers. The serial #s are BH1542 and (harder to read but apparently) D11090. BOTH DRIVERS HAVE THE ORIGINAL BERYLLIUM DIAPHRAGMS (see photos) AND ON 6/28/12 HAVE BEEN OPENED, INSPECTED, PHOTOGRAPHED, TESTED, REMOUNTED AND FURTHER TESTED BY PROFESSIONAL AUDIO TESTING PERSONNEL. (see text of report below*, and photo of test report.)They have not been used much at all in the last 20 years, as they have been in a small room paired with JBL spec scoop cabinets and it was all just too big for the space. They are now attached to Community horns. The horns are fiberglass and also rare, and the the above testing firm estimated them (offhand) to be worth $200 each alone. They can be heard and inspected if you are on the NY area. Buyer pays shipping, with or without the horns.They weigh apprx 32 pounds each.
