This is the Tag Heuer Classic chronograph with an automatic caliber 16 movement (rather than the more common and cheaper quartz). The 2000 was so popular it kept Tag Heuer afloat in the 80s and early 90s. It's on a 16cm steel tag Heuer strap. It's running well and keep good time (although I've not worn it or timed it accurately: you'd need a horologist to regulate it if you want the timing to be perfect). I've not had the back off it as its running well and I didn't want to break the seal. It comes in the Tag Box and leather (effect? Don't know) case and with the booklet and sleeve. The chronograph works as expected and all hands zero. The hands are in good condition and I've checked the lume and it works well. The dial is white and pristine as far as I can see.Issues that I can spot (with my untrained eye) are the clasp (which works fine but has a ding in it) and superficial wear on the case and bezel. The only other thing on my mind is that the hacking function that I expect on later Valjoux 7750 movements doesn't work on this. I'd estimate this watch to date from sometime in the 1980s and I have other vintage watches with non hacking function so it possibly doesn't have one, but I thought should mention it.I'll answer questions as well as I can but not an expert so please take a good look at the pictures.
