TALL antique JAMES DIXON & SONS pewter teapot 7 vintage

Excellent TALL vintage pewter teapot from an estate sale. Bottom is stamped with the following: C, then about 1/4" below that is a number 7, then below that is JAMES DIXON & SONS 71896. It could stand to be cleaned, but it has no major dents or scratches, just a few minor surface scratches. The handle and feet are ornate. T is an insulating band at the top and bottom of the handle, not sure what it is made out of. The lid opens and closes with ease. It measures about 12" tall and about 9-1/4" from tip of spout to outter edge of handle. Really quite a nice collector's piece in very fine shape! The design on this teapot matches another shorter one I have listed, as well as a bowl that I have listed (which will end a few days prior to this listing). The estate sale w I found this was that of an elderly antique dealer whose items we were told had been boxed away since the 70's. Everything was sold by boxful. Lots of neat finds (old pewter, blue glass, hand blown glass, knick knacks), so check back, I will be listing a variety of items as I sort through and as my time permits. This was my first estate sale (Iâe(tm)m hooked now) and I really don't know much about antiques (other than what I've enjoyed learning on e-bay), so I will describe each item as best I can.
