WELCOME TO MY ROSES AUCTION. Fall is in California and we're having the the end of the Rose season as the bloom times wind down. My favorite flower will be producing their last blooms as they head for their much needed rest in Winter. I always have a sense of sorrow seeing this time of year; much as I love this time of year - it's always sad to see my lovely Roses reducing their growth and their flowering. Roses are the most popular subject for Turn of the Century China Painters - hands down. Please see my auction for gorgeous and fine antique porcelain - all filled with lovely, delightful Roses. This is a richly hand painted Willets Belleek Trumpet Vase. The artist has painted deep Burgundy Roses and their leaves all around the vase, cascading down and rising upwards and twirling together. This is certainly covered with Roses! The colors are lovely and varied with the rich Burgundy of the flowers used in the background base and blending with Lavendar Purple and touches of soft Blue. This is a graceful mold - one of the very best shapes for holding tall, long-stemmed flowers like Roses or Hollyhocks or Daisies with ease and beauty.
