Loetz Rindskopf Red Iridescent Art Glass Vase #1 Flowering Tulip Pepita Polished Pontil I have revised this listing, thanks to the asute observation of an Ebay member who kindly identified this piece as Rindskopt. Thanks. I love this vase. Never had a Red Iridescent vase. Never had an Art glass piece this tall. It's truly majestic. Think it's a double gem for its colour and size and shape. And, it has a mate. It's partner, and they make quite a pair. Comes from a well-appointed estate in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Owner acquired this piece a long time ago from the Kellogg family as a token of appreciation. Nice token. This piece is reddish to purple hues. Yes, some greens to gold, but mostly reds to blues, and blues to purple. Deep purple and back to red. Neck is thin with lovely striations of iridescence. Pontil is polished. It is in the Flowering Tulip form. The flowering bulb is huge...more than 4"...and works proportionally well given the height of the vase. Measurements: 13 1/2"H Tulip Opening: 2 1/2" Base: 3 3/8" I love the slender form, graceful shape, clean lines, and vivid iridescence. It glows. Transparent towards the base, building up to the iridescent red bursting of the tulip. Think it's a strong piece which stands with great integrity on its own merit. I had to think long and hard about separating it from its mate. They truly compliment each-the-other, which is why I had to include the pictures of its partner. Been together for decades. I am hopeful each will find a rightful place of distinction, be it separate, or, perhaps, my wish, together. It's a fine piece of quality Art Glass and would be a welcomed addition for any lover of wonderful Art Glass of the Era. If you have any questions, or wish additional photos, I am happy to assist.
