Being offered in this sale is a stunning Murano art glass vase utilizing the SOMMERSO technique that I would say dates to the 1950s or 60s. Its a VERY heavy piece that weighs close to eight pounds and measure 10 1/2" tall x 5" wide x 3 1/2" deep. I believe that this may be a Seguso piece, however, I do not know mid century Italian art glass well enough to say if it couldn't also be from Venini or perhaps Barbini. Which ever firm made it, it is a beautiful piece. The condion is excellent. Other than a couple of light surface scratches on one side, t are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines, bruises or evidence of grinding. If you collect Italian art glass you will not be disappointed.
