THIS AUCTION IS FOR ONE FIRE DEPARTMENT TAMAQUA BADGE PLEASE SEE PICTURES This is a beautiful authentic obsolete fire department badge in great condition. Measures three inches by one and three quarters wide. Displaying EAST END FIRE CO. NO.4 A across the top of the badge, with TAMAQUA PA. across underneath. Tamaqua Pennsylvania just 32 miles north of the city of Allentown and about 40 miles south of the city of Scranton. Is the oldest fire company in the borough, with our station being located in the heart of Tamaqua's downtown district at the corners of Berwick and Rowe streets on the boroughs west side. The station location allows for quick access to all of the boroughs five wards. I have collected these badges over the years as I'm from a three generation fire department family one of my children better make it the 4Th.! TAMAQUA FIRE DEPARTMENT PA.#4 Tamaqua, Pennsylvania This is the offical South Ward Fire Co. Station 4, Tamaqua PA. The South Ward Fire Company is one of four fire companies in the borough of Tamaqua. The fire company is dispatched out of the Schuylkill County Communications Center as Fire District 65 Station 4. Our direct response area covers the Borough of Tamaqua and surrounding communites. We serve a first due response area of approximatiely 10 sq. miles with a population of approximately 7000. The Borough of Tamaqua was founded in 1799 and is located in the eastern part of Schuylkill County. The Borough consists of mainly wood frame structures dating back to the early 1900's. Our Station operates the following equipment: 1 Engine, 1 Squad, 1 Utility, and 2 Brusch Units. Station 4 also houses a county DeCon trailer. We are a multi-functional fire station that responds to various types of emergency situations. Our volunteers are continually training to maintain the skills needed to keep up with todays ever changing technology.
