Custom SWB Evolution V. The story: A few years ago I thought I would get into RC/GT racing as no one in my town was much into the Tamiya TCS scene. RC/GT had a rule prohibiting 'jelly bean' body styles- only accurate bodies need apply. So I set out to build the closest thing, an Audi TT-R. At the time, the only TT body available was the one made for the TA04ss with the 247mm wheelbase. So a few beers and some internet screen time later, I took the chance that the lower arms from the TA04ss would fit the Evo V, which they did with minimal modifications (to the arms, not the chassis). Presto chango, an EVO Vss. I don't have the big clunky wing the TT should have- RC/GT allowed lightweight wings so I used Tamiya 53470. I built the car, found a blue motor (don't remember what it is, but it's pretty) and promptly parked it on my shelf where it raced dust bunnies the rest of it's career. I always shy away form words like "stunning, perfect in every way" on eBay as it sets up unrealistic expectations, but truly, this car is perfect. Any flaws you see in the pics are just shelf dust. Edges of carbon are properly sealed with CA and Sharpie'd. Includes the motor, but no other electronics (battery, servo or ESC).
