Up for sale is a heavily customized Paul Chen Practical Plus tanto. Theblade is a hira zukuri shaped suguta with a notare style hamon. The blade hasbeen heavily repolished to bring the blade finish up to a higher degree. The hamon was re-etched and has a much more natural appearence with more activity in the nioi. The Practical finish is usually fairly poor, this blade looks like it belongs in the higher classes now.
Also, the blade now is mounted fully "aikuchi" style, that is without a tsuba. The grip is covered in very high quality rayskin. The menuki are epoxied on permanently. The saya was sanded down to reveal the hardwood finish which is also stained with a combo wood stain/sealer.
