TARZAN of the APES BURNE HOGARTH ~ EDGAR RICE BURROUGHS ~ "Perilous Command" Original Art: Burne Hogarth. This is the original hand painted color guide , as painted by Burne Hogarth over a black and white production print of his art, for creating the Sunday TARZAN from 71 years ago- December 1st, 1940 (pre-America's entry into WW II). NOTE: This is original hand-painted water color on a paper print, not the original black line art. BURNE HOGARTH: One of the founders of New York's School of Visual Arts (SVA). His books include TARZAN, Dynamic Anantomy, Figure Drawing, Light and Shade, etc. His work has been exhibited at the Louvre, Paris: Musee des Arts Decoratifs. He is a past president of the National cartoonists Society (NCS) and has won the NCS Reuben Award for the Best in Advertising & Illustration in 1974, 1975 & 1976. Condition: Very Good.
