TASCO 1952 Christmas Seal Promotional Item‘ Premium Edition’ Album w. Seals 1907-1952 original envelope and order forms I started collecting stamps in the late 1940’s and have seen several of these albums over the years. Tatham Stamp and Coin Company (TASCO) operated in Massachusetts from the 1930’s to the mid 1960’s. Starting in the late 1940’s they started publishing the mini Christmas seal album which they sold along with a beginner’s set of the more common seals. Thousands of these were printed and sold each year until the company went out of business in the 1960’s. I own 4 copies of the red leatherette ‘Deluxe Edition’ and this one which is the original promotional pamphlet with green paper covers. Every year from 1907 thru 1952 is represented. Seals included are mostly unused – (1907, 1908 and some of the other earlier have been used but not canceled). The seals which came in the original package were all MNH at the time of receipt but are now actually glued to the pages –60 years later I’m not sure how that happened. This offering will probably be of more interest to the TASCO collector rather than a Seal collector, but who knows? This is the only promotional album I have seen offered on e-Bay. Condition : Mixed state – most unused, some MNH original gum. Most are stuck to the album pages – the unattached seals will be included
