This auction is for a Stunning Vintage, Genuine (and very possibly Haunted) all hand~carved and hand~crafted Jade & Sterling Silver Necklace set that includes matching Bracelet and Clip Earrings, Circa early 1900's Markings on the necklace are engraved in a circular design: Del Rio Hecho En Mexico 0.925 Sterling The matching bracelet has the word "Taxco" engraved on one of the links. The matching earrings each have an unusual design of some kind on the back, but I couldn't tell what it was, please see picture. )))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( The Measurements are: Necklace: 21 - 3/4 inches long Center face, top to bottom: 1 - 3/4 inches tall Bracelet: 7 - 1/2 inches long (each) clip Earring: 3/4 inch tall Each link has been securely soldered, and it feels slinky when held, a very graceful and expensively made set, all pieces in Excellent condition with only normal scratches for something this ancient. All clasps and both screwback earring pieces work Perfectly. ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((()))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) The Story behind the Set This necklace, bracelet, clip earring set was purchased by my grandfather for my grandmother in the early 1900's and she never wore it once because ... of the... uh... Ok, I'll just say it! It has the most horribly EVIL expression on each and every one of the hand~carved jade faces, and she thought it was haunted. Maybe that's because every time she tried it on, the room got colder! This occured even in the dead of Summer, and it freaked her out pretty well. Before she died, she gave it to her daughter (my mother) hoping that it was more her taste, but mom also refused to wear the cursed thing for the same reason. Even as a small child, she'd always been afraid of it. Decades later, of course my mother gave it to ME just last Christmas, forgetting that I'd turned it down every time she'd offered it to me before. (she's almost 90, and is clearing out her huge, 200 year old scary looking antebellum home that the kids in the neighborhood are afraid to visit on Halloween night. ) I tried all the pieces on, and got my very first Hot Flash.. And I'm only 32! Hopefully that doesn't indicate my Final Destination, LOL. But the room did seem colder after it passed. Thankfully, I haven't had anymore Hot Flashes since trying on the set. Since I don't attend witch burnings, goth, vampire or human sacrifice parties, I really don't need this unusual set, so I'm gleefully letting it go to one of you ...er... Very LUCKY bidders! (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((())))))))))))))))))))))))))))) So PLEASE... Bid or Buy it Now! T's No Reserve because I want it OUT of FAST, Never to Return! woooo- eeeeeeeee -oooooo.
