Taxco .960 STERLING AND ONYX DANGLE BROOCH Circa:1945-Morrill and Berk page 244. I have the same pin that is pictured on pg. 244 in the Mexican Silver Book by Morrill and Berk. However, my pin is larger measuring 3" W X 2.5" L and compared side-by-side it is very clear that this pin was smithed by the same silversmith. The construction is identical - the 960 silver and onyx, the links, the finish, right down to the details on the pin shown on page 244. Note: the onyx and dangle drops are set in silver backings and are in graduated lengths from 4 inches down to 2.5 inches My piece is marked "Mexico Silver Taxco 960 and has an eagle hallmark". T are two other Hallmarks which I cannot identify on the first and third silver and onyx dangles. is your chance to own a rare and breathtaking vintage pin/brooch.
