This gem is mounted in a deep bezel setting and surrounded with sterling.The ornate headdress with etched design sits above the mask and is balanced by a silver collar complete with dangling feathers. Depth and contrast are created by the dark niello detailing of the recessed lines. Also the niello background goes well with the deep color of the obsidian.
