is a very rare taxidermy animal. This was a pet at one time. This is an Asian Water Monitor Lizard which is directly related to the komodo dragon and grows to over 9 feet long. This animal is the same species of animal used in the movie The Freshman. The actual animal is 5 1/2 feet long from head to tail. The squares of the comforter on which the animal is sitting on measure 13 inches to give you an idea of its size. The widest part of the animal is around 9 inches wide and 23 inches in circumference. As you can see the taxidermist did a great job preserving the mouth with the teeth. The animal is quite heavy weighing in at around 15 pounds. I prefer local pick up but will ship in the USA. If this item is shipped it must be insured and packaging will take some time to make sure it ships carefully without breaking.
