Taylor 855 Left Hand in immaculate condition with case. I bought this guitar earlier in the year from Coda Music having fallen in love with its sound after visiting the store. � I believe it's a late 90's model and was made at the time when Bob Taylor was still signing his labels by hand and which is stuck inside and intact under the heel of the neck part of the guitar. I have really enjoyed playing this guitar from time to time but have come to realise I have too many guitars and still need to narrow down to the select few that I play when I'm with my band. I thought it would be nice to use for a few songs with the band at some point but I never had the extra room in my car with everything else so it has been kept at home since I bought it and has become more of a luxury that I can't justify keeping. � I have looked up and down this guitar for any marks and genuinely cannot see any. � No wear..nothing. She has been extremely well looked after by her previous owner and there is not even any sign of fret wear. � The neck is straight. There is no buzzing and the guitar even has a pickup although I don't know what it is or whether it was factory installed or not but clearly it pre-dates the Taylor expression system which has been standard for the last few years. � This is a very well made guitar. It is the 8 series being one down from it's top end and has all the appointments one would expect at this level including those beautiful fret markers which are a work of art in themselves. It is definitely not light guitar and is built to last. � It was Neil Young that first brought this 855 to the attention of the press when he tried an one out in a music store and loved it so much he bought 2. Then he took it on tour with him claiming it was the best 12 string he had ever played and the guitar featured heavily in Rust Never Sleeps tour and film. � This endorsement by Young now put Taylor Guitars in the limelight and who were now contending with the big guns Martin, Gibson and Guild. � Bob Taylor has only one photo of one artist in his office. � Neil Young with the 855. The action on this guitar is amazing and better than any other 12 string I have tried in the past. � She almost plays as easily as a standard 6 string and she rings like a bell. � The case is the one with the pink lining and which is the only thing that looks a bit dated but still in very good condition for its age and has no damage. I guess it has done its job very well and kept the guitar in near mint condition. � I do not believe you will find a better example of this guitar anywhere and certainly a very rare and difficult find in left. � This particular model is no longer available but has great reputation behind it and pedigree. If I could keep her and had more space I really would. � But I realise I do not use her as I intended and need to let her go to someone who will play her and enjoy her as I did when I first met her at Coda Music and sat there for ages just falling in love with the sound and playability. � I am a genuine and honest seller. � I love my guitars and am extremely careful with them. � If I could I would keep them all and I have always regretted selling any guitar that' I have liked as I know I will do in this case. I will not lie about anything I sell or try to mislead or disappoint or risk my 100% feedback rating which I am extremely proud and protective. Collection would be preferred and free. � However, if shipping is required she will be packed so well I would assure you that the guitar will be boxed and bomb proof to arrive safe and sound without risk of any damage through delivery. *Postage is approximate but I will happily pay the difference within reason.
