M W CLASSIC CAMERAS. TAYLOR HOBSON COOKE 2.8in (70mm) f2.5 PANCHROTAL ANASTIGMAT CINE LENS In 1in C MOUNT. Short tele lens for Cine lens from this famous British manufacturer. Glass is coated and looks clean and bright, and is free from scratches and clouding. There are some internal dust specs, and possibly a small fungus (or dust) spec at the extreme edge. However, this is well outside the image circle and will not affect results. The lens itself is very well made, with a heavily-chromed brass barrel. Cosmetically, the barrel is in very good condition, showing very light signs of use. The chrome looks clean, and is not worn. A multi-blade (12 blades?) iris produces perfect circular apertures down to a marked aperture of f32, and beyond, with Close focus point is just under 3 feet, and the focus movement is smooth if a little on the firm side. The lens comes in a 1in diameter Cine C mount, and could be adapted for use with digital cameras such as Micro 4/3rds . The lens measures 6cm long, and 4cm dia. Ser No 369993.
