A gorgeous Teac X-1000R stereo reel-to-reel tape recorder. Its numerous features and excellent quality rank it as one of the finest reel recorders ever made! This one comes with fantastic accessories, including the floor-standing rack, the dust cover, and hubs for 10" reels!This unit features playback, record, and erase in both the forward and reverse directions. It uses 1/4" tape and is compatible with both 7" and 10" reels. Other features include auto-reverse (exclusive to this "R" model) , pitch control, speed selection, digital counter, duplication sync, and DBX noise reduction.Mechanically, this unit is in excellent working condition. A qualified technician has performed a full service, including installing a new belt after cleaning residue from the original belt, cleaning all switches and controls, cleaning and re-lubricating all moving parts, and demagnetizing and cleaning the tape path.Cosmetically, the unit and accessories are in excellent condition. We got this piece and all its components from the original owner, who took excellent care of them. The rack is beautiful, with no scratches, dents, or scuffs (except normal wear along the sides where the reel rubs against the rack, hidden when the reel is in place on the rack).
