You are looking at a functional Teac x-700r open reel to reel player/recorder. This item does play and record, but it does have a few flaws which can be seen on the youtube video below...Everything works except the auto reserve function. If you try to play the tape in the opposite direction, it struggles a bit. You can get it to work after hitting stop and play a few times as you can see in the video. Sometimes it works on the first try, sometimes it doesn't. It plays just fine in the standard direction. It's probably an easy repair, I just didn't want to mess around with it. Also, the fast-forward and rewind are sluggish when t's a lot of tape on one reel and not the other. Other than that, it plays and records great. Heads are in great shape as you can see in the photo. Both speeds work just fine....I just cleaned all of the controls and pots. All lights and meters work perfectly. This item is a clean as a whistle inside and the outside is in good cosmetic condition as well. The owner took very good care of it. I am selling it in hopes to get another 10 inch 4 track deck. :) Item does not come with the reels shown in the photo or video. It is the deck only. Item is sold as is.
