Item Description WM03 Teddy - Andy Pandy - Watch With Mother Figurine Handpainted ceramic figurine / statue from the Watch With Mother Collection. Designed and sculpted in Shropshire, England by Robert Harrop Designs. Approximately 4.37 inches (111mm) tall. Brand new and comes complete in a presentation box. The success of Andy Pandy paved the way for another TV classic The Flower Pot Men and in 1953 they were both broadcast under the well known title of Watch with Mother. With such portfolio, Watch with Mother was the by-word for quality Children's Television, which continued into the 1950's and 1960's, producing many well known classics under its banner. The Flower Pot Men lived behind the potting shed of a little house that was surrounded by a beautiful garden. The man who worked in the garden would go in for his lunch and Bill and Ben the Flower Pot Men would then appear out of two large flower pots. Little Weed grew between the pots and would warn the Flower Pot Men when the man came back out into the garden.Not only did Bill and Ben live in the flower pots, but they were instantly recognisable by their flower pot body and legs, garden glove hands, foil hats and hobnail boots.
