Telefunken Gavotte 7 Superheterodyne AM FM SW Radio This exceptional tabletop radio was made in West Germany for export. Telefunken favored musical names for their line of radios, Gavotte is a French folk dance, the number 7 corresponds to the 1956-57 production year. The radio is in very good to excellent condition and operates perfectly. The wood cabinet is beautiful and has only a few light scratches and t T are three speakers, a large center speaker and two smaller speakers mounted on the sides covered by grills. The radio has two front knobs, one for power and volume, another with inner and outer tuning controls. T are also two tone controls and 5 push buutons for A.M., F.M., Shortwave, Phono and Auxillary or "Special". The back of the radio has numerous input and outputs; external and internal antenna, extension speaker output, phono input. T are six tubes within the radio (ECC85, ECH81, EF89, EABC80 and EL84) and also the green EM80 tube which is a pretty neat little device in itself, t is a little window on the front of the radio w you can view the EM80 tube, as you tune the radio, a green light expands and contracts as a type of tuning aid to show you when you are tuned-in for the best possible reception.
