I tested this tube in really DC condition with a very precise tube tester with all DC voltage stabilized, according Telefunken data sheet conditions for RE604 triode, by a anode voltage +250 V and the grid voltage - 45 V, with following test results of anode current, and the transconductance (dynamic slope): Anode current: 26 mA Transconductance (dynamic slope): 1,7 mA/V - still good for using in a amplifier No "gas" - the grid "back current" is lower as 1 µA According the Telefunken data sheet for a new RE604, the anode current should be ca. 40 mA, and the transconductance should be ca. 2,4 mA/V.
