Tell City Solid Maple Young Republic 8 Drawer Dresser

Tell City Young Republic Collection

8 Drawer Solid Maple Dresser with Mirror

Andover Finish

A price you cannot beat -Top quality dresser with a starting price that is less than half the typical ebay price for a comparable Tell City maple chest or dresser - and this dresser comes with an extra bonus of the mirror! Mirrors like this normally sell for $75-$100 by themselves!

This superb Tell City maple dresser has pegged construction with the trademark carved pine cone accents on each side. The dresser is approximately 54" wide, 19" deep and 33 ½" tall.

All drawers have dovetail corners and have dust protectors between drawers. The drawer pulls are ornate period brass hardware. Three of the drawers have some minor scuffs on the corners and edges as though someone might have dropped them. If you want to see close-ups of that, please send me that request. I will attempt to take pictures of each drawer and send them to you.

It would be a challenge to find furniture that is higher quality construction than this is. It is Tell City solid maple construction throughout. T or no splits, cracks or stains anyw on this dresser. It is in very good condition for a dresser that is probably 40-60 years old, but has normal wear that reflects that age. You are buying a treasured antique that will last for generations, but it is not perfect!

Mirror. Also included in this auction is the solid maple framed mirror with good clear silver backing. The brackets and steel rails on the back of the mirror are the best I have ever seen as far as a strong way to secure the mirror to the dresser. If you wish, the mirror can easily be removed and hung on the wall. The left side (edge) of the frame has some scratches and looks as though at some point, it was stored with that side down on the floor. The front of the frame (left side) of the mirror also has one spot that is scratched.

Outside measurements of the mirror are 32 ½" wide and 43" tall. The mirror frame is 32 1/8" wide

I have a photo of the scratch on the mirror frame and can send pictures to interested bidders of the scratches and scuffs on three of the drawer fronts. They are what I consider to be minor and typical of 40-60 year old signs of use and wear. I will touch up any scratches and dings with stain prior to the end of the auction. i would have posted more photos, but I have reached the ebay limit for number of photos.

As you can probably tell, I am not a retailer and have not dealt with shipping an item as large as this. It would be far better to have a local pick up. If someone does want the dresser shipped, I will take it to a local shipper for $25, but the buyer needs to arrange shipping. I will be happy to hold it for someone for 30 days, but the dresser must be paid for within seven days of auction end.

If you have any questions regarding the dresser or mirror, please e-mail BEFORE bidding.

Thanks for looking and for bidding !!!
