For your consideration are TEN (10) EARLY Cut Crystal TALL CHAMPAGNE GLASSES with MONOGRAM! These pieces were purchased from an exclusive NYC Estate, and I was told the "W" monogram...seen on all of t pieces...were obtained from the Kate Wollman estate. I pass along this information as an FYI only...NOT as a guarantee! Wollman Rink has been a source of enjoyment for millions of Park goers who delight in winter ice skating and summer pedal boating. It was added to the Park during the reign of Parks Commissioner Robert Moses, who was responsible for many of the Parkâe(tm)s features that were not included in the original design, such as its Playgrounds and Band shell. The Rink, opened in 1961, was named after Kate Wollman, whose family helped fund its construction. The Wollman family had previously donated $600,000 for the construction of the Wollman Rink in Central Park in 1949. Each champagne glass measures about 9" tall x 2.25" in diameter across the top. These crystal champagnes were all HAND CUT and of SUPERIOR QUALITY and are VERY HEAVY! Out of the ten champagnes in the set, only one has a tiny flea-bite along the top rim edge. Two have a couple of TINY flea-bites on the BOTTOM of the bases. These condition issues are really quite inconsequential, but t and stated for the record! The other seven show no chips or cracks. T is some wear/loss (in varying degrees) to the gold highlights on all of the champagne glasses...especially in the deep monogram portion. Please view the pictures & judge the condition & value of this great set for yourself. All sales are strictly as-is & final.
