TEN MONTHS CAPTIVE AMONG FILIPINOS (1901) Philippines, Rare DESCRIPTION � Ten Months Captive Among Filipinos (1901) by Albert Sonnichsen in VG+ condition. Binding is tight. Light spotting on the first few pages, otherwise clean white pages. No writing or inscriptions. Evidence of a sticker on the spine. Ex-library stamped "withdrawn" on the contents page and evidence of something having been removed from the inside of the back cover. No other library markings. Written by an American military officer who was taken captive by the Filipinos immediately after hostilities commenced in February 1899 between Americans the Revolutionary Filipinos--the onset of the Philippine War (also called the Philippine-American War, or the Philippine Insurrection). He was transported into Northern Luzon and held captive for 10 months.
