Now you can own this authentic, hand-forged and sharpened katana. This is the Masakage Katana, by Ten Ryu. This is an amazing sword for the price! The blade is through hardened 1045 carbon steel, which makes it a great for cutting. It has a tough blade that is very forgiving of mistakes by the beginning or intermediate martial artist. It is fully functional and "battle ready," easily cutting half inch green bamboo. Yet it is much more than just a "beater" sword! It has a cotton ito (wrap), real rayskin and a beautiful saya (scabbard). It features a Samurai Warrior Tsuba, and engraving on the blade. Specifications below. 40.5” Overall, 11.5” Handle 28” Blade Hand forged with Japanese Maru technique. Hand sharpened with “Fuso Myoo” Japanese ancient warrior god symbol, reverse engraved side with “Dragon Horimono”. Tsuka is wrapped with cotton underneath with genuine ray skin, double pegged handle.
