All records are visually graded with the following familiar Goldmine-based scale. I do not usually offer records that grade much less than VERY GOOD-PLUS. The reason is simple: listing all the poor qualities of a beat-up record and jacket or sleeve is a soul-sucking pain in the ass, whereas listing NM and MINT records is an absolute pleasure. However, if I suspect a particularly worn record has collectibility that defies its physical condition, I will offer it and of course take the time to list the flaws. Many dealers won't give a grade higher than this implying (perhaps correctly) that no record is ever truly perfect. The record shows no obvious sign of wear.
