This is a great early multi faced humidor . It is terracotta red pottery and I believe it is Bohemian 1870s origin but could be oriental could not find an exact example in my books on humidors. It is in great shape with only the slightest of tiny glaze flecks on upper edge . No chips or restorations .The lid sits a slight bit askew which can be expected with the hand made nature of a early humidor like this one. It is 6 ¾” to top nose of lid and interior opening of 4 ¼” and bas diameter 4 1/8” and a outside circumference of 17 ¼” I JUST TAPPED THE HUMIDOR FOR THE FIRST TIME AMD IT HAD A DEAD SOUND SO I WENT ALL AROUND WITH A MAGNIFIYER AND FOUND A PAPER THIN HAIR LINE .HUMIDOR IS STABLE AND WILL BE FILLED WITH PAPER OR CHIPS FOR PACKING SO LINE WILL NOT GET WORSE. BECAUSE OF THIS FLAW THIS WILL BE A AS FOUND AUCTION WITH NO RETURNS I REALLY BELIEVE THIS LINE DOES NOT AFFECT THE VALUE TO A GREAT DEGREE BECAUSE A HUMIDOR LIKE THIS IS SO RARE.
