A wonderful antique lava cameo; beautifully hand carved in high relief to depict a classical goddess - probably Hera - in profile, in a white metal / low grade silver mount for wear as a pin.
A high quality, superbly carved and extremely attractive antique cameo that's both very wearable and extremely collectable! CONDITION : All original and very good. Minimal wear, tiny amount of loss to flowers - not readily noticeable. Small crack to silver mount nr hinge, of no consequence. DEFECTS : None. DATE/MARKS : Around 1880. Not marked. DIMENSIONS : 37.8 x 30.4 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter. WEIGHT : Approx. 10.7 grams. our other auctions. Like our items?
