Remember 9-11-01. God Bless and Keep America Safe! TERRIFIC EARLY 1800s CHILDS BLUE & WHITE 15 PC TEA SET #1164 5 Day Auction--This is a very rare circa 1800 child's 15 piece tea set that we just purchased from a very wealthy estate in Atlanta, Georgia along with very fine and very old Staffordshire plates some dating to around 1800. We believe that this set is early Staffordshire ware. The backmark is pictured. Ed spent a couple hours trying to locate it to no avail. This pattern has a vignette, both front and back, of a peasant girl picking flowers and putting them on her apron. T is a house in the background and a tree with flowers around the vignette. T is a lovely repeating flower and leaf border inside the cups, on the suacers, plates, pot and sugar. This is blue or cobalt transferware and the form was popular around 1800. This set, which consists of a teapot (4 1/2" high x 6 1/4" handle to spout x 3" wide) with a repaired handle, pictured, and two tiny "bites" on the underside of the spout that amount to almost nothing, an open creamer (2 1/2" high x 4" handle to spout x 2 3/8" wide), a covered sugar (4" high x 5" handle to handle x 2 5/8" wide), 4 cups (2 1/8" high x 2 5/8" in diameter at the top rim) and 4 saucers (4 1/2" in diameter), and 4 plates (5 1/2" in diameter). Both lids are present and fine. The teapot lid has read more
