Old Wood & Metal Wheel w/ Advertising for Wagon ? Circus ? Model A or T ?
Estate find, this very cool old wheel measures just over 24" across by 3" wide. It's painted red and yellow with black print around the center...HAM CHETT? HAN CHETT? T is a valve stem hole so it held a tire (innertube?). The spokes that meet in the center are somewhat out of alignment, and t are some cracks in the wood, but the wheel is very sturdy and solid, and heavy. Some worn paint, age wear and a little rust on the metal. It's a terrific looking old wheel. I saw a small collection of this type of old wheel in a semi-recent HOUSE and GARDEN magazine (wish I still had it now) showing them hanging on the wall, as this one could. It would look spectacular hung up.
