TERRY ANDTHE PIRATES ORIGINAL SUNDAY PAGE SIGNED BY HILDEBRANDT BROS! Beginning in spring of 1995, Greg and Tim Hildebrandt worked on an updated version of Milton Caniff's classic Terry and the Pirates strip, under the direction of film producer Michael Uslan. The Hildebrandt brothers stayed on the strip for only a short time, but they produced fantastic art--as can be seen in this beautiful Sunday page from September 17th, 1995. The page features a cat-fight between the legendary Dragon Lady and the other femme fatale of the series, Burma! The page bears the signature of both Greg and the late Tim Hildebrandt--Tim passed away in 2006. (The caption on the third panel is attached to a transparent overlay--placed there by the letterer) This is a beautiful piece of original art in excellent condition. It has been under glass for the last seven years. It is a true collector's item for fans of newspaper strip art and the Hildebrandt brothers! Dimensions are 15X20. Starting bid: $24.99 Artwork is from the private collection of publishers and creators Mark Ellis and Melissa Martin-Ellis. Combined shipping discounts are available. Super low opening bid, low reserve. Winning bidder to pay $5.99 towards priority mail shipping. !
