Here is a lovely Tete Jumeau Bebe from the later Jumeau period (Approx. 1895-1899). She is 15-1/2" tall and marked with the number "5" at the base of her neck and an "x" at the crown opening of her head. She has gorgeous blubous spiral bright blue paperweight non-sleep eyes with many upper and lower painted lashes and heavily painted brows. She has crisp, clean facial molding with nose nostrial dots, an open mouth with four teeth and perfectly painted full, coral color lips. She has the deep crown cut indicative of Jumeau , pierced ears and perfect poured bisque head. There is no damage to the bisque, no repairs, hairlines or restorations. Her body is a typical French style ball jointed body Jumeau with the deep calf cuts on the rear legs. The body is in pretty good condition considering her age - with paint and gesso missing in some areas of the legs, arms and hands. (See pictures.) She has pierced ears with blue and gold bead earrings. She has an old French cork pate under her long, reddish curly human hair wig. She wears vintage, beautifully made white cotton pantelettes and slip under a white cotton summer style dress. Dress is embelished with a gold-tone pin with drop bead that is sewn on to the dress at the neckline. Her hat is a sweet vintage bonnett with white velvet flowers. She has new silk crocheted socks and palest pink read more
