Old Texaco Advertising 2 Sided 11' Wind Sock White Canvas Material This is an old 2 sided Texaco wind sock. I purchased this in a farm sale. It was packed in a barn and appears to have been packed for a very long time. It looks like it was professionally hand painted with stencils. This is very large (11 foot long)! T are some stains on it, but over all it is in great condition. Some of the stains are a bit darker than shown in the two photos. Please see photos. The canvas is in excellent shape, except for the stains. No mold or mildew. Very Rare! I can not find anything similar to it on the internet. "Texaco was the only company which refined aviation gasoline ... and to advertise that fact, the location of every airport in the nation was shown on their road maps. Not only could a pilot locate an airport easily on a road map, the need to carry a ruler was eliminated because they also listed the air mileage between towns."
