VINTAGE TEXAS NATIVE INERTIA NUTCRACKER CRACKS UP TO 30 NUTS PER MINUTE FUN TO USE STURDY OAK CONSTRUCTION MODEL 7141 FROM THE BOX : "This wonderful nutcracker cracks any of these kind of nuts:Pecans, Brazil Nuts, Filberts, Macadamians, Almonds and English Walnuts. (Do not use on Hickory Nuts or Black Walnuts.) It was the official show nutcracker of The Texas Pecan Growers Association. It was chosen to crack the pecans for the Apollo 13 and 14 moon missions." Now folks, that's hard to beat! This nutcracker is in excellent condition. It is made from Oak and has a protective shield that controls shell scatter. Rubber bands are pre-installed and 6 extra bands are being furnished. Adding or subtracting bands will determine the force with which you want to crack the nuts. Instructions : Put nut in sockets, pull shield over nut, pull back knocker stick, release, slide shield back, let kernel roll out. The cracker produces only whole kernels. The patented principle prevents over-calculation of cracking force. The instructions include a sketch of a simple reducing washer that the user can make if over-cracking is experienced.
