for your consideration is a collector plate from the Vernon Kilns of California depicting the historic city of San Antonio, Texas. The plate is made on the Ultra Shape and is 10 1/4" in diameter. The plate has a monochromatic brown glaze over white base showing many of the historic places in the city of San Antonio including the Alamo Mission. The Alamo highlights this plate and is located in a larger appearance in the center of the plate. The title says "The Historic Alamo Shrine of Texas Liberty Built 1718." Also highlighted on this plate are the Municipal Auditorium, the Spanish Governor's Palace, Mission Concepcion Est. 1751, Mission San Francisco de la Espada, the Randolph Field Airport "West Point of the Air", Mission San Jose "Queen of the Missions",and the San Fernando Cathedral. The plate is marked on the back with the Vernon Kilns Ink Stamp which shows this plate was made exclusively for "The Vogue."
