TH1913 Rare & Unusual ArtNouveau Majolica Tile Probably T & R Boote c.1905 • Style: Art nouveau • Technique: Moulded majolica • Manufacturer: Probably T & R Boote • Dimensions: 6" x 6" • Date: circa 1905 An unusual art nouveau tile with a rather squat tulip style flowerhead and decorated in near pastel colours. I can't recall seeing this design before so rare is probably appropriate, the grip pattern is a generialc rail type with Englands embossed in letter punches similar to some used by Boote but there are still dozens of tile companies who were recorded in the edwardian era for whom wares are not identified and this could be by one of them. In good condition, no major damage, three tiny rim chips, three minute rim chips, a few very minor surface marks. Delivery Charges All delivery charges include careful packing and insurance.
