THACKERY IN THE UNITED STATES 1852-3, 1855-6 By James Grant Wilson 2 Volume Set Pub 1904 Smith, Elder & Co. Bound in identical reddish pebbled leather hard covers with gold stamped decoration / lettering, bound in place markers, maroon end papers, gilt tipped top page edges. Each 6 x 8 1/2". Vol I - 372pp; Vol II - 403pp. Illustrated. Covers have slightest wear, a scrape to spine top of Vol II. Pages crisp and unmarked. Noted a very few light old age spots. Handsome bindings, nicely kept. William Makepeace Thackery's account of his travels / observations in the United States. Very readable and well edited. � Also includes a "Record of a Variety of Thackerayana by Wilson and a Bibliography by Frederick S Dickson" Thanks. � I expect payment within 7 days, will pack securely and mail promptly.
