Disney The Black Cauldron Complete Lobby Card Set (New/Sealed) This is the complete eight card set for The Black Cauldron, produced by Disney for British theaters. Why England and not the United States? Because Disney never created Cauldron lobby cards for U.S. theaters. The entire set is pristine in unopened shrinkwrap. The cards measure 8" by 10". Cauldron is the only Disney animated feature to have received a PG rating. Though t are moments of playfulness the tone is decidedly dark. Similarly, in contrast to every other Disney animated feature, Cauldron was not a musical. The plot is too intense to be in competition with a lilting score. In fact, Cauldron was the first animated feature ever to be edited for violent and adult content before its release; Cauldron is not suitable for some young children. The scene of the evil Horned King raising an army of the dead, for example, terrifies my 5-year old niece. As I mentioned, the set is still sealed in its original shrinkwrap.
