This knife was handmade in 1981. Serial #8. Original selling price was between $1100.00 - $1300.00. The blade is a double edge polished made of 440-C stainless, the fittings are nickel silver, the handle is elephant ivory and it has floral hand engraving on the bolster and escutcheon surface by Michael Collins. All four bevels are deeply double hollow ground with the edge running full length on both sides. Its bolster guard centers the balance, and the finger cut-out positions your hand properly and pommel blows, and a visual balance in the overall appearance of the handle. T is a check (hair line crack) on the back of the ivory handle. Beautiful knife for the serious collector. No sheath comes with this knife.
