The Stephen Smith Pedestal Desk: A rare example of American Boston Empire furniture Ca. 1830, it is signed with a paper label in the centre knee-hole drawer which is flanked by pedestals to either side with paneled hinged doors. The proportions of 54 1/4wide x 33 deep x 31 high allow this piece to fit nicely into most floor plans.
