I remember when when my friend, Dennis Loren, was raving about a "Hot" new band out of Detroit called The White Stripes. Dennis Loren was especially thrilled that they came from his "Home" city...Detroit. Dennis felt that The White Stripes were the "Real Deal" and he sought out creating images for Concert Posters for The Group. Dennis Loren's first posters were Digital Prints and very limited to the Venues themselves. It wasn't until the latter part of 2001 that Dennis Loren got to meet Jack White and Meg in San Francisco. Jack White had remembered seeing Dennis Loren's work and was quite happy that Dennis took a liking to them. Jack White then commissioned Dennis Loren to create several larger Concert Posters for the subsequest venues that the White Stripes would play in late 2001 and into 2003. By 2003, Jack White had a management team that signed other artists to create Concert Posters for concert sales. I would challenge anyone to say that their subsequent work topped anything that Dennis Loren did for the group. Several of Dennis Loren's White Stripes Posters are featured in The Book of Modern Art.
