Due to a Non-Paying bidder, I am relisting this set! Up for auction is a full set of eight rare limited edition Wizard of Oz collector plates by Thomas Blackshear in 1988. Six plates come with their certificate of authenticity and Record of aquisition cards. Unfortunately, I do not have the certs for 2 of the plates. The plates are 8.5 inch size.The cert states: The Hamilton collection, Metro Goldwyn-Mayer, and Turner Entertainment Co. certify that this fine porcelain collector plate, rimmed in 23K gold, has been created by art master Thomas Blackshear as a life-like tribute to one of the most beloved scenes from the 1939 classic movie, "The Wizard of Oz." Furthermore, this document warrants that the accompanying plate is a part of an edition limited to a total of 14 firing days.All of the plates have been well cared for and are in good condition, with no chips or cracks...Beautiful and ready to display or give as a gift.. don't forget Christmas is right around the corner! some may have slight wear on the edge from having been once displayed with plate hangers, but it is so unnoticeable that I am unable to capture this minor flaw in the pictures.Serious bidders only!
