This is Edgar Allan Poe's COMPLETE works! It took several years for me to compile all 10 volumes--one volume purchased at a thrift store got me started; it was only a few dollars, but got me very interested to see if I could find the others. I tried to avoid copies that were in poor condition. As you can see from the pictures, most covers still have a good image of the roman soldier, some are faded and worn almost completely off. Each book has intricate drawings, some with the original rice-paper protectors. Over the years I have compiled 19 books, but these make up the best condition for a set. Most of the set still has a very tight binding and only one or two even has yellowing! The others I have compiled have stains or mice bites out of them, so you're getting the best. These are first edition and printed in 1904. They will only increase in value over time. I've noticed that t are 3 or 5 volume sets in rare markets for hundreds to thousands of dollars. I'm starting this auction at no reserve, hoping that true collectors will see this unmatched set for what they're worth. A pristene set of this same printing sold for $4000 on an antique books website, but they were perfect in every way.
