Up for auction are these beautiful oyster plates from Theodore Haviland. T are eight plates total. I did quite a bit of research but was unable to find a name for the design. Each plate has five wells, a center for sauce and measure 8 1/2" across. Three of the plates have 1 small nick on the edge, 2 are almost undetectable to the eye, 1 is a little bigger but still not bad, just under 1/4", I tried to photograph it but my camera wouldn't show it. Also a few tiny fleabites on the bottoms of the plates, very minor. They otherwise look perfect to me. On the bottom of the plates it says Porcelaine Theo Haviland Limoges France and has TH impressed into the porcelain. I'm not an expert on these, in fact had never heard of an oyster plate until I purchased them so I hope I have done well in my description.
