This is an interesting T. Roosevelt artifact. It is a menu made from copper. Teddy's bust is stamped into it and the understating " Dinner in Honor of, President Theodore Roosevelt, given by, Mayor Mullins, At Butte, Montana, May 27, 1903. Then, also stamped on the menu are the entrees served at the event. I have contimplated selling this menu before and have recently recovered it again from sitting in my attic. I know that it's only value is the significance of its historical value and was hoping that a Roosevelt buff might find interesting enough to buy. I have looked through a couple timelines on Teddy online to see if t is any evidence that he actually attended this dinner. The closest I could find him was on May 26th giving a speech in Spokane, Washington the day before. I can find no information on this dinner. He could have easily boarded a train and arrived in Montana the next day. Or, knowing Teddy, he probably did on horseback. In any case, the menu is genuine as it obviously old. The back is a high quality yellow-gold material stamped into the copper. It measures 9 x 11 inches and on the left middle front of the menu are three - one inch slits w I believe a ribbon was once inserted.
