ABOUT PRESSBOOKS

Pressbooks were produced for distribution to movie theaters as a tool to help promote its respective film. T is a lot of unique information to be found in a pressbook, so they are generally a great resource for collectors and researchers alike. Pressbook will contain any of the following: articles, ads, promotional ideas, pictures of the film's posters, poster/herald order forms, miscellaneous publicity material, etc. It was common for theatres to cut out ads from pressbooks and submit them for publication in print media This is what the "clippings" count above refers. Naturally a fully intact pressbook is most desirable. Measurements vary from pressbook to pressbook, as does their page count and overall attractiveness. The nicest pressbooks will have lavish full color layouts with die-cuts, gatefolds, and other miscellaneous extravagances, while a more bare-bones example might look like a big black and white pamphlet. Sometimes pressbooks would include sample heralds, separate sections of ad mats, or other miscellaneous inserts. If this lot includes any such supplements, they are accounted for above.

Extended Payment Option : For this pressbook auction I am allowing one month to pay after the auction’s close . I’m offering this extended payment term because I realize that with roughly 1,400 items up for grabs, you might want more than you can afford to pay for in one week.

Payment preferred via paypal; also accepted are money orders and checks. When paying with check t will be a 2 week wait for clearance before item is shipped. Buyers outside the US must I will not accept International Money Orders or foreign checks. Cash is accepted at bidder's risk.

U.S. bidders : You will pay one $10 shipping for your whole pressbook order , no matter how many pressbooks you win this week.
Non-U.S. bidders : You will be charged the actual postage for your order plus $2 for packaging and handling .

Domestic rates are usually combinable (see exceptions below), meaning no matter how many items you win, you will pay only one flat shipping fee. If possible, all lots will be shipped together in one package. Thanks to the USPS' latest rate increase we can no longer offer flat combinable rates to non-U.S. buyers. Domestic shipments are sent via USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. All orders are shipped within 24-48 business hours of clear payment receipt.
